The staff at the inn were absolutely delightful, always ready to assist. Loved the alacarte breakfast and the convenient location. Had a great time hiking nearby.almost got lost, but that added to the adventure!

Taranga, the host, is magnificent - happy, laid back, and welcoming. Excellent cook, with great breakfast and delicious authentic dinner experience. Extended my stay and enjoyed the freedom of a rented scooter.

We got great value for our money at Monara Backpacker Inn. The room was comfortable with a big bed, clean bathroom, and air conditioning. The location was quiet and close to the train station, making it easy to explore nearby areas.

The hotel breakfast menu could have had more variety.

Guests can enjoy the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast prepared by the warm and welcoming host. the WiFi is reliable and the host is always ready to provide helpful information and assistance.

The absence of curtains in the rooms may disturb guests who prefer to sleep in when the sun is up.

I always come back for the amazing service, friendly staff and cozy rooms. It's the perfect place with free Wi-Fi, parking, AC and kettle. They even helped me find my lost jewel. I'm excited to return for Easter!

The staff were absolutely mind-blowing! Tharanga, the manager, was incredibly friendly and made the best food I had in Sri Lanka. The room had a comfortable big bed, a clean private bathroom, and air conditioning. The free wi-fi worked jaw-droppingly well, which helped a lot. It's also conveniently located just a short walk from the train station, making it super easy to get in and out of the area. Thanks so much for everything! You made my stay in Sri Lanka absolutely amazing.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The bed was big and comfortable, and the room was very clean and quiet. The location was great because it was close to the railway station, making it easy to visit other beaches and towns. The hotel also had a beautiful garden with monkeys, squirrels, and even a mongoose. The highlight of our stay was the fantastic host, Tharanga, who was always ready to help and made delicious and varied breakfasts. The hotel facilities were also excellent, with a fridge in the common room and cheap beers available.

Shower and drain placement was awkward.

The shower was one of the best I've experienced in the country, and the cleanliness of everything was amazing. The beds were comfortable, and the wifi worked flawlessly. I also appreciated being able to use the fridge for my water, and the Sri Lankan pancakes for breakfast were delicious. The host was friendly and social, making me feel right at home. The price-to-quality ratio was excellent.
